I’m a pre-judge again: BBC Countryfile photo comp 2010

EDIT: **You can now see my behind the scenes article from the 2010 judging here**

I recently had a call from the producers of the BBC tv show Countryfile, asking if I’d like to be a pre-judge again for the 2010 photography competition, along with some other familiar faces of other past winners. So another day of sorting through thousands of images is on the cards after the competition closes, with a small section of the day filmed, to be on the show after that date. Last years 2009 pre-judging was a great day, spent in great company (you can read about it here) and several of the images I picked for the short list we created, were eventually also chosen by the shows presenters to be in the final 12 which was nice.

The competition is for a great cause, BBC Children In Need. The final 12 images go in the Children In Need calendar for that year and the proceeds of all sales of those calendars goes to the charity.

This years theme is A Moment of Magic

More information on this years competition can be found here
and
Entry rules can be found here.

Good luck everyone, looking forward to seeing if this years entries can match the high standard of last year, and to see what image will grace the cover of the 2011 calendar!
