Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2010 winners

So, it’s that time of year again and the 2010 WPOTY winners have been announced. As usual there are some fantastic images selected, with the overall winner this year coming from Photographer Bence Máté from Hungary and his A Marvel of Ants image. After all the controversy over last years winner lets hope things are back on track this year with no hidden surprises!

To check out those 2010 finalists as well as the winning image, head over to the Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year website. Plus, you can head to the exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London. And don’t forget, the 2011 competition launches in January 2011…which is just in time for my Yellowstone trip, so I’ll hopefully be entering next year too!

What do you think? Which was your favourite this year?
Of course it’s very subjective as to whether entries in to this or any competition are thought worthy by the public, but, did you enter this year? And what do you make of the finalists and would you have picked the same image as overall winner? Interested to hear your thoughts!
