Having just returned from the awards ceremony in Lünen, Germany, I am incredibly pleased to announce I have been awarded as the GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, 2015.
After the GDT awards on Friday, this follows in to a two day nature photography festival. Much like London’s Wild Photo’s did, it’s an event that draws in photographers from all over the world and the weekend was spent listening to some truly inspirational talks, making new friends and catching up with old.
Once again it was my image Shadow Walker that captured the jury’s imagination, and combined with my recent category win in the 2015 Wildlife Photographer of the Year, has helped justify just how much time and effort I’ve put in to my Back Garden Safari project over the last year (especially to my long suffering wife, who has seen the kitchen transformed into a hide!).
