Safety Plate review for Gitzo tripods

Have you heard about or suffered from the loose base plate issue with Gitzo Systematic tripods? No…? Excellent! If, however, you are one of the few who have or are worried about it, Naturescapes.net have come up with this exclusive safety plate to solve the problem. It’s engineered beautifully and is very discrete and light weight in use. To find out what it’s all about, you can read my exclusive review on Naturescapes.net, here.

    Hi Richard,

Is this still needed for newer 5541LS tripods. I’m planning to get one soon.

    Thanks for your inputs.

    • Hi Ravi, I’m not sure if there has been a revision to the 5541LS since I got mine a couple of years ago, but that is the tripod I own and is infact the tripod used in the images that show the Safety Plate. So if there have been no revisions to the design, then yes you may still like to consider one.
