		<description>I wholeheartedly agree.  I have, and have used a very inexpensive alternative from pc-mobile.com and it works fine.  However, the Nikon release screws in securely (my alternative does not).  It also has a longer cord (almost too long, but the alternative is too short) I ultimately went back to the MC.

One thing that those who espouse just using the self-timer never seem to cover:  There are just times when YOU want to control exactly when the shutter trips, and the self-timer just won&#039;t do that.  Shooting flower closeups between wind gusts comes to mind as an example.</description>
