Thanks for the comments guys. Roy, sorry to hear about the weather! Sounds like you had quite a trip though touring the islands. That elusive Sea Eagle shot is still on my hit list too, although every visit I seem to get closer to it. lol, don't worry you'll be the first to know if the 600mm ends up in the FREE STUFF section...

I know the feeling, having just come back from 2 weeks island hopping Barra, Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist, Harris and Lewis. It rained I think 10 days and the only wildlife picture I got was a Sea Eagle while we were hill walking, and guess which lens I had on, yep an 18-200 Certainly never saw a Corncrake at Balranald, did see some oyster catchers but that was it. Keep the blog going, so glad I spotted your ‘free stuff’ post on Nikonians let me know when you decide to give away your 600mm lens .
