It’s official, camera prices go up even more!!

February 12, 2009

** My original article below has been changed to reflect the new prices now they are official. March the 1st has come and gone and prices have indeed gone up and the new official RRPs (which tie in with my list) are available from Nikon, which I have linked to in this article.**

Ok so we’ve all seen the prices increase with digital camera’s in the last few weeks due to the current economic climate. It’s not been very welcome with some bits of gear going up by as much as %40! The bad news is this has happened again! I was lucky (or unlucky!) enough to get a copy of the new RRP for Nikon equipment a few weeks early so knew what was going to be coming. Well, now it’s official and you can see these new prices for yourself…

So how bad is it? Well the D300 is now sitting at £1449 with the MB-D10 coming in at £336.99 which is quite a big blow in my opinion (thankfully I snuck in and picked this combo up the week before the rises) and the D3 has rocketed up to £3999 which is crazy seeing as I got mine when they first came out for £600 cheaper!!

Some other highlights include:

600 VR £8699!!
200-400 VR £5899
200 f2 VR £3849
24-70 AFS £1499
14-24 £1599

You can find a full list of the new RRPs on Nikon’s website here.
