Nikon D400 on the way soon?

It’s been a slow month for me photography wise, especially with having problems with a trapped nerve in my shoulder. However to fill the gap between my last post and my next one I thought I’d give a quick mention to the rumours of Nikon releasing a D400 (soon?). Some specs being thrown around include 24mp(!!) and 1080p…
D300 replacement?
That’s what we all assume the D400 will be and as such 24mp seems a little off the mark especially as a D300 successor would/should be another DX model. I’d go with between 14 and 16mp myself with, ideally, better noise than the D300. If we got that and 8fps with a grip I would probably think about picking one up as a stop gap whilst prices of the D3x come down to a less scary amount…!
Amazon have a D400 book available to pre-order as does the website for the publisher of the book. So it would seem the camera IS coming, and soon…just how soon however, is anyone’s guess!
