Hi Richard,

I'm traveling from Argentina to Canada in 30 days and I'm lost about how to transport my Nikon 600mm AF-I f4 lens in the airplane. I want to be sure that I can take the lens on the plane with me...

I'm looking for a bag that can help me with this travel, and the only one I found so far is this one. This are the Air Canada specs:

Standard article
Maximum size:
23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm
(9 in x 15.5 in x 21.5 in)
Wheels and handles included.

Maximum weight:
10 kg (22 lb)

would you be so kind to let me know if the size of the bag with my lens inside will be ok ? I didnt find the sizes in internet, besides, maybe you can suggest any other good idea or tips for this.

Thanks a lot in advance

Thanks Patrick, I knew the VR would fit too I just wasn't sure if you could still have a TC mounted to it as well. It's a great little bag. With regard to taking it on a plane, if you don't wish to use the CL-L2 the older Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 fits within the required size for hand luggage, if you can still find one. The newer MK 2 version of the bag that I have is too tall unfortunately.

Richard THX for this tip, just for the record, the VR also fits in the CL-L2 without a problem.
Now I have only one major problem, how do you guys transport this big gun on the plane???

Crikey that must be a big lens!! Thankfully my largest is a 500mm which fits my Lowepro computer trekker very well - although I no longer use mine to carry a laptop around because my laptop won't fit!!!!!
